The choir director at Franklin Simpson High School resigns her position after school officials say she violated board policy.
Franklin-Simpson Superintendent Jim Flynn says Danielle Brown is accused of violating policy at a school lock-in last Thursday night.
Flynn would not comment on specific facts about the case but says it has been turned over to the county attorney.
Simpson county attorney Sid Broderson says the matter is now being investigated by Franklin City Police.
Brown and a group of choral students left early Friday morning to join other area choirs for a concert at New York City's Carnegie Hall.
Brown, who also taught arts and humanities, had been at Franklin Simpson for the past two years.
