The trials and successes of American Idol show contestants are somewhat legendary.

Recently one idol went from relatively unknown to an Oscar winner.

And then there's people like Josiah Leming, who is homeless.

Josiah was booted off the show, but his fortunes changed in Knoxville, Tennessee when he had a free vehicle delivered by some big fans.

During a radio interview this past week, Leming revealed to a Fort Wayne radio station that his faithful car, which was also his home, had driven its last mile.

The station got together with a local car dealership and donated a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville, clothes and other gifts.

"Dude, this is insane," said Leming

"Like I'm speechless, honestly. This is great. This is ridiculous."

Another good bit of news is that Leming says he's sold more than $40,000 worth of his music online since his national exposure on the FOX television show.

God works in many situations. I am so glad for him.

If each person were required to spend some time on the streets and/or volunteer at a homeless shelter which includes a few "so called" pastors who were very insensitive & rude toward me, they might be more caring and concerned about these people. Not all homeless are mentally ill, but fell on hard times. Unless you have been through this horror, don't say anything negative about the homeless.

Josiah was not homeless. He chose to live out of his car while trying to pursue a career in music. Also after Idol he returned home to his parents home.
