The day after Christmas, Kentucky State Police respond to a hostage situation at the Northbrook Mobile Home Park just off of Louisville Road.

Police received a call just before 1 p.m. saying 38-year-old Allen Lacefield was acting strangely. Lacefield proceeded to barricade himself and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Wendy Brewer, in a bedroom. Neighbors were evacuated after learning the suspect may be armed.

After authorities talked with him for more than hour, Lacefield surrendered and was taken into custody. The hostage was released unharmed.

He was charged with unlawful imprisonment, wanton endangerment and additional charges are still pending. He is lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
