A crash in Logan County leaves one dead and several others injured.

At 3:45 p.m., the Logan County Sheriff's Department responded to a single vehicle accident.

A 1994 Lincoln Towncar driven by Kevin Ray Hightower of Adairville was traveling west on Kentucky 102 when he lost control, traveled down an embankment and struck a fence, before coming to a rest in a field.

Hightower was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was not wearing a seat belt and the Sheriff's Department says alcohol was a factor.

Josee Hightower was Life-flighted to Vanderbilt Hospital with serious injuries to the head and face.

Two other passengers, Staci Rushing and Mercedes Sharp, were treated for injuries at the scene.
