The local chapter of the American Red Cross must replace some of its board members who are planning to resign. Despite turnover at the top, American Red Cross officials say their mission will remain unchanged.
Executive Director Deneen Cooper says she learned Tuesday morning some board members plan to resign. Cooper says the changes have everything to do with the end of the fiscal year and nothing to do with the organization.
Cooper says she isn't sure how many plan to step down at this time.
WBKO tried to contact several board members, but none of them would comment on camera.
Cooper says the chapter will begin recruiting new board members to fill the vacancies next week.
