The Internet can be a scary place especially for children, but now there's a new web browser in town designed just for kids and it's putting a new spin on Internet safety.

Meet the newest children's web browser---KidZui.

KidZui has over 500,000 websites, pictures and videos already reviewed by teachers and parents.

And parents can add to that list with a click of a button.

For example, a parent can decide to whitelist sites like Facebook or MySpace or they can blacklist a site like Club Penguin if they feel their child is spending to much time on it.

Prior to launch, KidZui was road tested by 8,000 kids and their parents.

After a 30-day free trial period, parents who sign up can take advantage of special Charter Membership subscription rate of $4.95 per month or $49.95 per year, a 50% discount from standard rates of $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year.

Will you consider using KidZui for your children? Why or why not?

And there's word that Facebook may soon launch its own instant messaging service!

The details are a bit sketchy, but there are reports that the service could debut as early as this week.

MySpace has its own IM service and Facebook hopes it enjoys the same success..

As of right now, Facebookers can chat with one another but only through a few third party applications.
