The International Festival's city funding was saved from a possible cut Tuesday night.
Because of a miscommunication the international festival's funding was in danger but commissioners decided to provide emergency funding to allow the festival to go on as planned.
The commission also approved a new set of rules that will implement new rules about alcohol on city property that will allow golfers at the Hobson Grove golf course to purchase alcohol in the new clubhouse.
Commissioners also unanimously approved an agreement with Mandalay Entertainment to study the prospects of a minor league baseball stadium in downtown.
The results of that study are expected later this fall.
