Sublett Will Stand Trial

The Oakland man who barricaded himself in a North Warren County farmhouse last October, has been ruled competent to stand trial.

Forty-one-year-old Russell Sublett faces numerous charges, including the attempted murder of a federal agent and carjacking.

He held authorities at bay for three days before Bowling Green Police officer Mike Delaney talked him into surrendering.

Last December, Federal Judge Thomas B. Russell ordered Sublett to undergo a psychiatric exam before any further court proceedings.

But now that exam has been waived, and Sublett's trial date will be set September 26.
