Greenville Police say sometime between 5:00 Thursday evening and nine this morning, a truck was stolen from the Muhlenberg County Airport. Police say the truck filled with 2,000 gallons of jet fuel was driven through a fence surrounding the airport.
All agencies on the national and regional level have been notified, but because there is little security at the airport, its not known who could have stolen this truck or what their plans are with the fuel.
Several agencies in the Muhlenberg County area are taking special precautions until the truck is found.
The truck is described as 1969 Ford F-800 white tanker truck.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Greenville Police Department.
