For the past several months we’ve been telling you about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s unique contest in Warren County, where they’re raffling off a $250,000 home.
There are 41 dream homes across the country just like this one in Warren County. These dream homes are built out of the goodness of people’s hearts with all proceeds benefiting St. Jude’s.
Around 40 subcontractors worked on the home located in Sutherland Farms just off of Three Springs Road.
Most of the items in the home like the plumbing fixtures, fireplace, and paint were donated by various businesses.
The house is 2,500 square feet and includes four bedrooms, three full baths, a bonus room, and a two-car garage. The house is valued at around $250,000.
The contractor of the dream home is Doug Martens, who says he was glad to lend a hand.
"It makes you feel great, obviously you’re helping a cause that’s very worth while."
This is the first year for a dream home in the Bowling Green area. St. Jude is hoping to do the same thing next year.
The dream home is open to the public on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
Only 6,000 tickets will be sold and already more than 4,000 tickets have been bought.
If you’d like to purchase a ticket you have until October 16. You can purchase them at any local Houchens, IGA, or Hancock Fabric Store
