A new decision by the city is changing the way businesses train their employees. Recently the Bowling Green City Commission voted to amend the code of ordinances, creating mandatory training for alcoholic beverage servers. The amendment aims to create a safer environment in the city.

The new code will go into effect this April. Servers will then have 30 days to receive their certification. Business owners must foot the bill to have their employees go through the certification classes.
