Authorities have taken the Tennessee fugitive couple back to correctional facilities in Tennessee, to await their trial on murder charges.
Federal marshals returned George and Jennifer Hyatte to Kingston, Tennessee, this afternoon from Columbus, Ohio, where they were captured about 36 hours after a state corrections officer was fatally shot.
The incident occurred during George Hyatte's escape outside the Roane County Courthouse.
Officer Wayne "Cotton" Morgan died after being airlifted to a Knoxville hospital.
Marshals returned the Hyattes in separate vans and they were booked into the jail separately.
They were arraigned at the same courthouse from which George Hyatte fled.
The couple drove through Kentucky while on the run, and were arrested after police got a tip from a Kentucky taxi cab driver.
