A World War II pilot re-enacted a famous drop he made 60 years ago.

Air Force Colonel Gail Halvorsen dropped candy to children in Berlin during a siege back in June of 1948.

His generosity sparked more donations, and American children and candy companies gave more goodies for the candy bomber to deliver.

On April 20, Halvorsen recreated those days with a candy drop in Sacramento.

After the drop he was the keynote speaker at a conference at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

This was NOT a World War Two event...this occurred well after WW2. This was a famous event of the Cold War.

Could have been a bit more specific in what the "Siege" was. Do a little background work. It was when the Russians first closed off Allied ground access to Berlin which resulted in the Berlin Airlift.
