The amazing show of support for survivors of Hurricane Katrina is still pouring in from South Central Kentucky residents. Now the first fully loaded truck is on its way to the people who need it the most.

Paul Smith says: "I'm here to take this truck down to mobile Alabama for disaster relief."

The truck is filled with items that were specifically requested by the dropoff site in Alabama.

Doug Eberhart, with the United Way, says: "In this truck we've got Gatorade, Hi-C drinks, different liquids they requested, sodas. We've also got socks. We've got food items going to mobile. We've got some paper products going down there. Baby items going."

The truck took off around eleven Tuesday morning.
