Major Roger Osborne says Deputy Richard Kirby, Warren East's school resource officer, called for backup after a 16-year-old boy kicked lockers, beat on a car, and struck his fist on the pavement at Warren East High School Tuesday morning.
Three deputies arrived to assist Kirby, with one of them using a taser to bring the boy under control. The student was taken into custody and treated at the Medical Center for injuring his hand while striking objects around the school.
Osborne says the boy suffered no injuries from the taser. The student is charged with Disorderly Conduct.
