Gov. Fletcher's administration claims a Patton-era database shows political considerations in state hirings.
Fletcher spokesman Brett Hall says administration officials found the database while compiling documents for the ongoing Attorney General's investigation.
He says the database contains the names of 7,400 people who were seeking jobs, promotions or awards during the Patton administration.
Hall says to get on the list people had to be politically connected.
The Attorney General Greg Stumbo says he's is pleased the governor's office recognizes the public's right to know and hopes the governor will now turn over evidence of wrongdoing in his own administration.
