A Western Kentucky University cheerleader and an incoming freshman cheerleader are both at Vanderbilt Hospital after a crash this weekend.

Bowling Green police responded to the call on Patton Way around 12:30 a.m. on May 3.

According to a police report, a car driven by 20-year-old Christie Beck of Bowling Green was on Patton Way when she struck a car sitting sideways in the middle of the road, driven by 17-year-old Tyler K. Madison.

Madison and his passenger Billy T. Webb of Bowling Green were taken to the Medical Center and then later transported to Vanderbilt Hospital.

Webb, known as BT, is currently a cheerleader at Western Kentucky University.

Friends of Webb's tell WBKO that he is listed in serious condition at Vanderbilt Hospital and he injured his spine in the crash.

His fellow cheerleaders say Webb is a huge asset to the cheerleading program.

"He always makes everybody smile, no matter what and at cheerleading practice, no matter what would happen, he was always there to make everybody laugh and put a smile on our face even if we were all really stressed out," said WKU cheerleader, Jessica Rodgers.

Incoming cheerleader Tyler K. Madison's condition is unknown.

The other driver in the crash, Christie Beck, has been treated and released from the Medical Center.
