Bravo to the Glasgow City Council for tabling the stupid smoking ban in restaurants last night. Maybe some of them will get the message that we dont want them interfering with our lives.
Unfortunately the smoking ordinance was tabled indefinitely last night but we did gain more support from some additional council members. We will continue our efforts to better educate council members and campaign for those who support such healthy measures in this years campaign.
people better worrie about food prices and gas prices and the drugs and acohol thats in glasgow and leave the smokers to mind there own problems
WE ALL HAVE RIGHTS AND WANT CLEANER AIR, BUT SMOKERS PAY TAXES TOO AND SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SMOKE IN PUBLIC AND CITY PARKS. BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. TRY POLLUTION FROM FACTORYS. IT IS NOT THE CITY'S PLACE TO TELL BUSINESSES IF CUSTOMERS CAN SOME OR NOT. BUT WHY NOT BAN GROWING AND SELLING TOBACCO PRODUCTS IN THE STATE OF KENTUCKY. DON'T SAY IT IS O.K. TO GROW AND SELL IT BUT YOU CAN'T SMOKE HERE. ASK THE FARMERS OF THE STATE OF KENTUCKY IF THEY ARE FOR THAT.
I think the officials should spend more time worrying about the economy and getting more money coming into the area rather than whether or not a person should be allowed to light up a cigarette in public places or not. Let's focus on the more important issues.
i work in the glasgow area and would love to see this happen-we need to think of the children! lets move with this-
Yes I certainly agree with smoking bans to protect the health of non-smokers. There are increasing number of areas with smoking bans, and they are much better for both staff and customers alike. And I've yet to see any loss of business where smoking bans have been implemented.
wonderful. now lets get Bowling Green in on the action!
