A Butler County senior wins the 2008 Upward Bound Scholarship.

Brittany Felty has been enrolled in the Upward Bound Program at Western Kentucky University since her junior year of high school.

She competed with participants statewide to win this honor.

The scholarship is awarded by the Kentucky Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel.

Felty will begin college this summer.
