This week is Police Appreciation Week.

Area students are making sure to show they appreciate everything officers do for the community.

Students at Foundation Christian Academy are wearing blue ribbons this week to show their support for police officers.

"They've been excited about it," said Foundation's Jack Ray.

"They've enjoyed wearing the blue ribbons because they love policemen. Some of the students' dads are Policemen."

School Administrator Jack Ray says they teach their students to show respect for all authority figures, especially police.
