Whether it's a necklace, bracelet, or a ring you probably have a favorite piece of jewelry. You may have even thought, "I can make that".

"A lot of people don't realize what goes into making a piece of silver jewelry," said Kay Zoretic, a jewelry designer.

Zoretic's venture came out of need.

"I found a bracelet I wanted and I didn't have the money. I thought I can make that," said Zoretic.

By making jewelry for herself others began to notice, and Zoretic was in business.

To make a hammered silver necklace. We started by coiling the silver and hammering it flat.

Once the silver is hammered evenly, you have to buff the ring to make it shine.

Next we picked out a stone to attach to the ring. We even made our own clasp.

Then Kay makes sure each piece of jewelry is her own by stamping it with her signature tag, Then we put all of the pieces together.

Zoretic says each piece of jewelry is a part of her. She says it's sometimes hard to part with her works of art.

"I don't want to talk someone into buying something. I want them to talk me out of it," said Zoretic.
