Before his truck went into a side slide and overturned.

3 months, 7 days. I still choke up just thinking about it. I got to Warren East, but I knew Drew personally. His mom was one of my teachers in middle school and its crazy seeing her everyday with a smile on her face, waving and smiling. I know life goes on.. but 3 months, 7 days.. she's up and smiling, shes at work with teenagers who all still continue to grieve this loss. We just experienced the death of a 19 year old girl from East and its unreal how the world keeps on turning without these people. Drew, you're great. You will never be forgotten. We love you, can't wait to see you.

Drew was a friend of mine at Greenwood and so was his brother David Comer. It still seems so unreal to me that Drew is gone. I want the Comer family to know that everyone in the Senior class is praying for them. They are all in our thoughs and prayers, especially David.

I had both of these young men in my classes last semester. Drew was always very respectful to me as a teacher though school work was not his favorite thing to do. My heart, as well as my prayers go out to his family. I am so very glad that I was privileged to get to know Drew this past semester. Just a terrible, terrible waste for young people to end up this way. I hope Matt is going to be okay and I look forward to seeing him this next year. Again, it breaks my heart for all involved. I was on my pool deck when I heard this accident happen right down the road from my house. We could see the tuck up on it's side. Life flight was comming in but left and that is when my husband and I knew that this was a tragic accident. As a mother myself my heart goes out to the family that lost their son. You all were the last thing I thought of before I went to bed and the first thing I thought of this morning. I pray that our father in heaven will wrap his arms of love and compassion around you all and hold you close.
