JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say two men have been indicted in a fatal party shooting in Jackson.

The Jackson Police Department says 31-year-old Anthony Swift has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Police said 27-year-old Travontay Berry has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence.

Brian Banes and Delandis Clark were killed April 28 as a graduation party broke up in downtown Jackson. Authorities said Berry fired a semi-automatic handgun into the air while he was standing in a crowd. Police allege Swift approached Banes and Clark and shot them multiple times.

Medical Examiner Trent Harris has said Clark's body had 17 bullet wounds and Banes' had nine bullet wounds.

Berry and Swift are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Madison County Circuit Court.
