51 Christmas Trees

Louise Colston talks about the first Christmas tree she put up back in 1990.

Now 15 years later, she has added 50 more trees to her collection.

Colston has trees decorated with Santa Claus ornaments, buttons, and even a snowman tree.

But her annual ritual of putting up the trees almost didn't happen this year.

In October, Colston had hip surgery and earlier this month, double heart bypass surgery.

Colston begins putting up her trees in October and leaves them up until March or April.

She confesses that decorating these trees are her favorite part of the whole process.

Her love of decorating Christmas trees is rubbing off on her family, namely her 20 year old grand-daughter.

"I'm glad it is. She's really getting into it this year. She's 20 and she loves it. All the kids love it. My nephew has taken on what i do. He loves it," says Colston.

Although Colston's house is filled with Christmas trees that remind her of the Christmas spirit.

She believes that there might still be room for more.

"I'd like to have a couple more with a couple of ideas I have in mind. I'd like to add five to my collection. Five more.”
