The Western Kentucky University family mourns the loss of one of their own. Joseph Bilotta, a psychology professor at WKU passed away Monday at the Preston Activities Center on campus.
Bilotta and his wife were walking on the track when he collapsed. Preston center officials administered CPR before the ambulance arrived, but he later died at a local hospital.
Bilotta was 50 years old and had been a professor at western since 1991. An autopsy was performed Tuesday in Louisville, and a cause of death hasn't been released yet.
A memorial service for Joseph Bilotta will be held at a later date.
