A farm here in Allen County kills thousands of pigs. Early Tuesday morning six surrounding fire departments responded to a fire in Allen County near Chapel Hill at the Dogwood Ridge Farm. Fire officials say nearly 3,000 pigs were killed in the flames, three buildings were destroyed and thousands of dollars were lost in damage.
The Dogood Ridge Farm is owned by the Pig Improvement Company (P.I.C.). The Stoney Point Fire Department is still looking into what caused the fire.
