Five-year-old Austin Pellet received a liver transplant on December 13 at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center. After some setbacks, doctors allowed him to come home Wednesday afternoon.

Austin says: "They took my liver out and they put a new one in me. My old liver wasn't working."

Brandie Pellet is Austin's mother. She says: "I want to thank everybody for their prayers and support because we wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for them."

Austin has Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and had been on the organ donor list for several months. His mother says they will have to continue going to Vanderbilt and Cincinnati for checkups and treatment, but the prognosis is for a full recovery. Austin will return to school in March.
