As we continue our look at the effects of meth in our communities we will take a look at the toll it takes on local law enforcement. Police say meth is the number one drug they focus on fighting.

They say the drug is hard to interdict because it's usually made in homes. And that accessibility makes the drug easy to obtain and hard to stop. According to the Drug and Enforcement Administration, the average meth lab costs $4,500 to clean up. Police say the amount of meth labs in the area has doubled each year, placing a strain on police departments with funding and manpower.
