A missing elderly woman is safe on July 1 after rescuers found her just after six this morning.

87-year old Ada Rutlege went missing last night after she wandered away from the Bowling Green Retirement Village.

Recovery workers with the Bowling Green Police Department and the Warren County Search and Rescue Department worked overnight to locate Rutlege.

"We went out there not knowing exactly where she went. When we got there, we started gathering the information and we started an urban grid search for her," says Deborah Williams with the Warren County Search and Rescue Department.

Rutlege was recovered near Fruit of the Loom.

She was safe but did complain of some ankle pain.
