The whole situation began last night in Hartford, Kentucky where a Beaver Dam officer was finishing up work on a report at the local hospital.

He was then flagged down by a gas meter attendant who noticed something attached to the meter.

The officer took off the package and brought the object back with him to Beaver Dam and left it in his squad car.

Upon noticing what looked like a 1 foot long PVC pipe bomb, Beaver Dam police called in the hazardous device unit out of Frankfort.

"We've got our robot out, utilizing it to remove the suspected pipebomb and have it removed and try to get it safely to an area where we can detonate it," according to KSP Sargeant Brooks Young.

As of right now, KSP is not sure whether or not the object is a pipe bomb or whether or not the possible bomb is connected to pipe bombs found in ohio county in the past few weeks.

Two juveniles and an 18 year old were arrested earlier this month for putting home-made bombs outside an assistant principal's home.
