Governor Ernie Fletcher is still in the hospital as doctors drain fluid from his pelvis and continue to treat him with antibiotics.
Fletcher spokesman Brett Hall says the governor is sitting up and feeling much better.
The governor underwent surgery to have his gallbladder removed last week and suffered a setback during his recovery Thursday when he had a high fever.
Doctors at Saint Joseph’s East Hospital in Lexington say he is suffering from an infection in his blood.
