The Kentucky Senate passes a bill that would allow women to breast-feed their babies in public.
The bill states that breast-feeding a child, "Shall not be considered an act of public indecency, and shall not be considered indecent exposure."
If it becomes law, the measure would prohibit cities from passing ordinances banning public breast-feeding.
The measure passed the Senate without any discussion and now heads to the House.
The Kentucky School Boards Association is concerned about the bill because they question whether nursing mothers should be allowed to breast-feed in classrooms where there are students.
