A Horse Cave man is arrested following a police chase in Hart County.

Kentucky State Police say a pursuit ensued on July 4 for 37-year-old Bryant O. Howard after he was driving recklessly on his motorcycle.

Howard reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour on 31-W before turning onto Bunnell Crossing Road and crashing.

After wrecking the bike, Howard fled on foot to a nearby residence where he was apprehended.

Among other charges, Howard was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree fleeing and evading police both from a motor vehicle and on foot.

He also had eight outstanding warrants through Warren County and four through Taylor County.

Howard is lodged in the Hart County Jail on a $ 25,000 bond.

I actually witnessed this chase. The man on the motorcycle was flying on that bike! At one time, I thought he was going to kill himself and others. He practically laid the bike down on the ground trying to make a turn while running from the police. Some of ushad to move over to let the state trooper through to catch him.

I saw this high speed chase on July 4th. this is no lie. he spun out at Raider's inn in Munfordville, heading towards Rowletts. He almost hit 2 cars when he came out of their parking lot.
