$4.15 It's the price everyone is talking about, as the cost of fuel reaches new heights in Bowling Green.

Ten gas stations selling regular gas at $4.15 in Bowling Green have been reported to us so far.

Some residents say enough is enough, but others say they know a way to save some cents per gallon.

"I was just surprised it went up so drastically," says area motorist Brittney Johnson. "Ten cents. That's not a big deal. 20 or 30 cents in less than a day is a pretty big deal."

"We were going to fill up last night coming back from Indiana," WKU alumni Natasha Winchester explains. "It was $3.95. We missed out, I guess."

"I figured it'd go up for the Fourth of July, but to hit us when we're just back from trips is kind of low," adds Brittney.

With no turning point for the prices in sight, motorists say there's nothing to do but stand idly by and just watch the money flow from their pockets.

"It's killing me," says motorist Frank Leclire. "Right now, I'm just getting half a tank at $40."

"It takes exactly $70 to fill this gas hog up!" adds Natasha.

But even though it takes a lot more effort today to keep the needle off "E", some motorists say they have a big help in the form of a thin plastic card.

"I've got a gift card that saves up to four percent over my total purchase so I'm actually just paying $3.95," Brittney says.

For these motorists, that's just a bit of relief.

Now, they just have one more request.

"That it gets down below four dollars. It would be a nice start," laughs Britney.

Spin the wheel ladies and gentlemen where it stops thats what todays price will be! 20-30 cents in day is what used to be called gouging, and apparently is now legal in this fine country STAND UP AND TAKE ACTION !!This will be the only way to force change!!

Had enough? Let this be a lesson...NEVER NEVER vote an oil man to be president. I knew 8 years ago that gas would get too high under bush

it is funny how that gas is going up but the employeers are not paying the employees the proper wages to keep up with the gas prices so we are working to pay for gas and not keep our families up and bill collectors wounder why we can not pay our bills

Someone please explain this to me. The price of sweet crude oil drops nearly $4.00 a barrel on Monday and the price of gas in Bowling Green goes up 15 cents a gallon. Something really stinks in Bowling Green, Ky when it comes to our gas prices. For instance, I can purchase diesel fuel at exit 6 in Franklin,Ky for 15 to 18 cents a gallon cheaper than in Bowling Green, so don't tell me there is not price fixing going on. " HAD ENOUGH", call your U.S. Congressman and tell him to lift the ban on drilling for oil. This has become a matter of National Security and survival for our Nation.

Here we go again -- 7-7-08 -- crude oil down approximately 3.50 per barrel. Mr. Higgins, Mr. Key, and others up from 3.95 per gallon to 4.09 per gallon. Mr. Kroger and Mr. Hildreth need to gouge more -- they are 4.15 per gallon. It is a shame when you can go to surrounding counties and pay 10 to 20 cents less per gallon. Another mystery, how do these businesses know within a two hour period to raise prices -- watch closely when one raises the price, it's a domino effect? We have a new KY governor and attorney general who could possibly do something about this? However, it looks like we jumped from the skillet to the frying pan!
