New records have been released regarding a Louisville woman who's charged with killing her two children.
Court records released on July 7 show a year before she was accused of killing her children, Gail Lynn Coontz called a crisis hotline and threatened to kill herself along with her kids.
The call prompted an investigation by the State Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
But, the records show the cabinet declared that Coontz wasn't a risk to her children.
The Courier-Journal reports that the therapist called Coontz "one of the best mothers" the therapist had seen.
Coontz showed up with a gun at the University of Louisville Health Services Counseling Center on March 27.
The children were found dead in their home.
