IT WAS THE 11TH YEAR FOR THE BARREN RIVER IMAGINATIVE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE REGIONAL BRIDGE BUILDING CONTEST. STUDENTS HAD TO DESIGN AND ENGINEER THEIR OWN BRIDGES. CO-DIRECTOR OF BRIMS DOUG JENKINS SAID THAT MANY TIMES STUDENTS BUILD MORE THAN ONE. THE TOP TEN INDIVIDUALS IN EACH CATEGORY RECEIVED A TROPHY AND THE TOP TWO SCHOOLS. IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION BUTLER COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL PLACED FIRST AND DRAKES CREEK MIDDLE SECOND. IN THE HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION BUTLER COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL PLACED FIRST AND WARREN CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL SECOND.
INDIVIDUAL WINNERS IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL CATEGORY INCLUDED FIRST TREVOR HOWARD, SECOND SARAH MEREDITH, THIRD JENNIFER GAIKO. IN THE HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION FIRST WEN TO JON MERIDETH AND SECOND RAEANNE HOLMES.
