Emotions continue to rise in Jamestown where parents, students, and other supporters of the program have been protesting out on the square in an effort to save ROTC.
The program is only in it's sixth year at Russell County High School.
In a statement released to the Russell Register, the council stated this was "In order to maintain compliance with the board of educations policies regarding student-teacher ratio we are required to closely examine current class offerings and teacher assignments as they relate to local policy...State graduation requirements....and programs of studies in relation to CATS".
Tuesday, supporters plan on presenting the petitions at the site base meeting. The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at the Russell County High School.
