A former Bowling Green City Manager will soon step down from his Franklin interim City Manager position.
Bob Higgins was unanimously voted into the job.
He takes over for Chuck Coates who took the job on an interim basis.
Higgins spent the last ten years as a client and program manager with Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon engineering firm in Nashville.
He also was a consultant to the City of Franklin, Tennessee for a number of years.
Higgins was chosen out of 31 applicants to fill the position.
The Vanderbilt graduate will take over duties from Coates on April 10.
