DESA To Bring China Operation Back To Bowling Green
Not too long ago, DESA Heating Products moved most of its Bowling Green operations to China where it was becoming cheaper to make their product.
But a weakened US dollar and higher Chinese wages has brought the manufacturer back to Bowling Green.

Thats just like a bunch of Politician's to take credit for bringing jobs back to Bowling Green when in reality they had nothing to do with it. It was the Management of DESA International that made the decision, not Mayor Walker or Governor Brashear.
What is not mentioned in the article is that these "jobs" will be of low wage and made up mostly of temporary workers. The workforce will be strictly seasonal and only offer employment for 4-5 months just like desa did before they moved operations overseas.
More companies should strive to bring their work back to the US, maybe then our struggling economy or those who are struggling to make a living could reap the rewards. But isn't it really about the money not the people?
