Nearly 3 months after 15-year-old Eros Berisaj was shot and killed during a burglary attempt in the 500 block of Creekwood Court, the Warren County Grand Jury rules on the case.

The death investigation has officially been closed.

Warren County Commonwealth Attorney Chris Cohron told WBKO on Wednesday the case was dismissed because their evidence matched up with what the police investigation uncovered.

He says the case will now be sealed up and marked "no true crime" meaning homeowner Jeff McGuire acted in self-defense.

Cohron also said his office is pleased with the police department's investigation and what it turned up.

Berisaj died April 3, 2008 after he was shot by 52-year-old McGuire, whose home the teenager was trying to break in to.

Here is an excerpt from McGuire's 911 call to Bowling Green Police after the shooting.

Dispatch- "911, what is your emergency?"

McGuire- "I just shot somebody who was trying to break into my house!"

Dispatch- "You shot somebody?"

McGuire- "Yes, I did!"

Dispatch- "Tell me exactly what happened."

McGuire- "I was in the bed asleep. I heard something banging on the door and I heard the glass break and I came in, he was reaching through trying to unlock the door. I have braces on the door and I shot."

According to Bowling Green Police Department records, Berisaj was found lying motionless on McGuire's back patio.

He had been shot in the head.

McGuire has had his "concealed carry" gun permit since 2003.
