I'm sure he was a great friend to everyone he knew and his family & friends loved him very much but he was shot because he was breaking into someone's home. Maybe his friends and family should talk about consequences, actions & reactions. If you are old enough to break into someone's home you are old enough to know better. How was the homeowner to know how old he was, how was the homeowner to know the intruder wasn't packing. You don't have time to think / ask all the right questions when your home is being broken into and you / your family's life could be at stake.

Erros was a great friend to everyone. His family and friends will miss him very much. I just don't understand why the man shot him. He should of called the police instead of talking a life of a son, brother, cousin, and a friend.

I am sorry for the family of the boy, but if you are breaking into someone's home, you need to expect that you might be in the line of fire. If someone is trying to break in on me, I am not going to ask them their age. I was always taught that wrong is wrong no matter how old you are. I realize it is hard to deal with this if the boy is related to you. However, you must also realize that he was in the wrong.

as sympathetic as I must be to the offender's family, I must applaud the Grand Jury for this decision. If anyone threatens the sanctity of someone's home, they should understand the probable ramifications under the law.

Uh can we please have some more details? Was he shot in the front or the back of the head? What time of the day or night was it?Was he shot while leaving? He was shot "trying" to leave what does that mean?

I understand he was using self defense but there is no reason to shoot him 3 times mcguire could of shot the gun in the air to give a warning to eros that someone was home. no of this makes any sense. rip eros we all love u and miss u.

It is always a tragedy when a life is lost, especially a young life. However, we live in a society now where our children are allowed to act and behave as if they are adults at too early of an age. We are failing our children. Instead of teaching them respect, responsiblity, and boundaries we are giving them free reign to act as they please. I am sorrowful for the family that has lost their child, and I pray that other children will learn that their actions have consequences, sometimes deadly, and if they are going to behave like and adult, to be ready for an adult’s consequence.

i think the grand jury did the right thing all mr. mcguire did was act in self defense to protect his person and his property the boy should not have been doing what he was doing, makes me wonder what other kinda trouble he was causing around the neighborhood or the city of bowling green.

Thank god the courts recognized home owner right. Kinda sucks for him having to take a life, but one has to be able to defend their property
