The first ever Bowling Green Big Cruise is benefiting a good cause!

Classic cars, trucks, and street rods cruised to the corner of Nashville Road and Campbell Lane Saturday afternoon.

All proceeds from the event will help Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital and local Safe Spots, places kids can go for help if they're ever separated from their caregiver

Nearly 250 cars were on display Friday night and Saturday.

"We started working on this about a year ago, and a lot of us go to these events all over the country," said Janet Henderson, Event Coordinator of Big Cruise. "A lot of talk was about bringing one to Bowling Green, so we decided that we'd do it for three months."

Big cruise will also be held the third weekend in August and the third weekend in September.
