Immigration Reform

Hispanics in Louisville are calling for immigration reform.

About 450 people chanted, held signs, and waived American and Mexican flags Tuesday at a rally outside the Gene Snyder Federal Courthouse.

The marchers are opposing a bill passed last month by the House that would make illegal immigrants criminal felons.

Saul Garcia, part owner of four Mexican-style restaurants in the Louisville area, says it's very important to have a more flexible law so that undocumented immigrants can become legal immigrants.

He added that they deserve the right to stay and become American citizens like he is.

The protests are the latest in a series of rallies staged throughout the country.
