Air Evac recently began its air ambulance service based out of the Bowling Green Airport.
The service will use a helicopter which can go 120 miles an hour or two miles a minute in order to get critically injured people to trauma centers in Kentucky and Tennessee sooner.
According to the Air Evac officials, it can get a patient from Warren County to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville in approximately 16 minutes.
The "flying ambulance" says it is striving for a 5 minute accident response time.
