The circus is coming to Bowling Green next month, but today some clowns stopped by to promote something other than "The Greatest Show On Earth."

Calling themselves 'ambassadors of laughter, ' two Ringling Brothers clowns say they're on a mission to help kids learn the importance of reading and healthy lifestyles.

The clowns have created a program that tells the behind the scene secrets of the show, and they're sharing it with kids who may not otherwise have the chance to go to the circus.

"We are here at the library having our reading with Ringling program... making sure it's fun for kids to read... read... read! They also have a chance to win they're own free ticket to the circus," said David and Cherie, Ringling Bros. Clowns.

Ringling Brother's Barnum and Bailey's Circus is coming to Diddle Arena September 16 and 17.
