Governor Ernie Fletcher and University of Louisville president James Ramsey ironed out their differences yesterday in Frankfort. Ramsey was upset that Fletcher vetoed a few projects intended for the university. Ramsey says a planned practice facility and residence hall will continue. Ramsey also promised that the university would play its home basketball games in a new arena being built with local and state money
Approximately 57 million dollars was slashed from Western Kentucky University. But, Western did receive 35 million dollars to replace the College of Education, 25.5 million dollars to add on to L.T. Smith Stadium and 3 million dollars in operating costs for the Kentucky Academy of Math and Science.
