Quote: Now, Mayor Walker says it's time for change. "I think it's time for us to take a look at everything we can do in our own home to reduce our energy consumption," she explains. It's a good thing we got her to tell to be responsable,...WHAT THE,..!!! Anyone relate to the word, "patronize?" How many people are going to that her for telling them something, most of country knows already?
This is excellent to see and hopefully will encourage individual home owners to have the same done for their homes. We had an energy assessment / audit performed on our home last fall. It was both educational about the varied energy conservation approaches for the home in general as well as informative with how our home's energy consumption rated vs comparable homes, where we were wasting energy and money heating and cooling the home, and what specific recommendations we should consider to reduce our home's consumption of non-renewable resources. We couldn't find a copy of an actual home energy audit report so we ended up writing about it on our home web site under the ECOENERGY page. Fiinally, many local utilities offer home energy audits for free. We had to pay but it was still well worth it. Dan
