The first week of classes are underway at Western Kentucky University and for many students the adjustment to the area can be a difficult one.

57 booths were setup at Downing University Center South Lawn as the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce invited businesses and students to come out and learn more about what Bowling Green has to offer.

"I'm not from Bowling Green, this stuff out here is pretty cool, and it's a good experience to find out where everything is in Bowling Green and how it works," said Eric Henrickson, a WKU student.

Students also had a chance to win plenty of free door prizes and giveaways, such as TV's, spray tans and other cool prizes.

Student enrollment at WKU is nearing the 18,000 mark.
