A Western Kentucky man who was charged with arson in a church fire tried to burn down the same church 10 years ago.
According to court records, 49-year-old Jimmy Renshaw was indicted for setting fire to a Baptist church in Dawson Springs a decade earlier.
The same church burned down on Saturday, and Renshaw was charged with arson again.
Records in the past 10 years show Renshaw has faced nearly a dozen arson charges.
They've been dropped because it was determined he was incompetent to stand trial because of a mental illness.
