Two bodies have been found in the Ohio River at Louisville.
One body was found yesterday near a park in western Louisville, while the other was in a submerged car near the Big Four railroad bridge near downtown Louisville.
Louisville police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley says someone on a barge saw a body yesterday morning near Lanham Park in western Louisville. The name of the man has not been released.
Police are trying to determine if the body found in the car at the railroad bridge is that of an Indiana man reported missing Saturday night.
A Jeffersonville, Indiana, police officer found the bumper of a 2001 Mazda Protege on the riverfront under the railroad bridge on Saturday night. The Louisville police dive team found the car yesterday, about 35 feet from shore with a body inside.
Meanwhile, the Jefferson County coroner's office released the identity of another man whose body was found Saturday night in the Ohio River near the McAlpine Lock. Deputy Coroner R.D. Jones says it appears that 45-year-old David Guinn drowned, but an autopsy has not been completed.
